About
EI Productions has been a fixture of the Australian live-production scene since 1979 — a Central Coast NSW operation that grew alongside the country's touring industry. Forty-five years on, we still build every show the same way: with the right gear, the right crew, and an honest read on what the room (and the act) actually needs.
Our touring credits read like a cross-section of the last decade in contemporary music: lighting and audio for Kevin Hart's Australian appearances, full production support on Parkway Drive's biggest local runs, Spacey Jane festival headline slots, The Whitlams' anniversary tours, Till Lindemann's solo show, and most recently the Linkin Park / Hybrid Theory celebration tour. That kind of work doesn't happen on borrowed credibility — it happens because the FOH engineer trusts the console patch, because the LD trusts the rig will be plumb and timecode will lock, and because the production manager trusts the load-in starts on time.
Three pillars hold the business together:
- Lighting design and operation — concept-through-show work covering LED, moving heads, conventional fixtures, dimming, networking, and control. Our operators run consoles from grandMA3 down to the smaller MA2 / Hog / Avo platforms for one-offs.
- Live audio engineering — front-of-house and monitor mixing for venues from 200-cap rooms to outdoor festival stages. Yamaha, DiGiCo and Avid consoles; JBL, L-Acoustics, Electro-Voice and Martin Audio PA depending on what the show calls for.
- Dry-hire catalogue — when you have the crew and just need the gear, we have lighting, audio, rigging and power distribution available individually or as packages. The downloadable hire PDF runs the full current inventory.
The crew is small and senior on purpose. You'll meet the same production manager on email, on site, and at the post-show debrief. That continuity is the whole point — it's why directors and TM's re-book us across tours and venues alike.
